Imo State Government Announces October 5th as Resumption Date For Schools In The State

The Imo State Government has announced October 5th as resumption date for schools in the state, after a longtime closure since March 2020.

The announcement was made by the chief press secretary to the governor,  mr. Oguwike Nwachukwu on Thursday, October 1st.

According to the secretary, the resumption is subject to strict adherence to the laid down COVID-19 guidelines headed by the deputy governor,  prof. Placid Njoku. 

He also disclosed that, schools in the state are being upgraded to an automated and digitalized platform to capture the data and enrolment of students and teachers, as well as payment of school fees amongst others.
